Moalem Weitemeyer assisted Xior Student Housing

Moalem Weitemeyer has assisted the Euronext Brussels listed student housing company Xior Student Housing in its EUR 939 million acquisition of student housing and residential units in Denmark, Germany, Poland, and Sweden from BaseCamp Group, the European Student Housing Fund I, and the European Student Housing Fund II.

Moalem Weitemeyer advised alongside international lead counsel Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak and Advokatfirman Vinge.

Xior is the number one student housing platform in continental Europe with a portfolio of 26,526 units and a presence in 43 top-tier university cities in 8 countries, serving a target market of 8.5 million students. The acquisition cements Xior’s entry on the Nordic market for student housing and increases the total fair value of the real estate portfolio to EURbn 3.7. In Denmark, the transaction includes a total of 1,799 housing units in the leading university cities of Copenhagen, Aarhus and Lyngby. The acquisition is subject to certain conditions precedent, inter alia approval from the shareholders in Xior, and approval of the listing prospectus by FSMA.
